In every painting there is the visual aesthetic, the conceptual spark and the technical implementation, Here is the play with the latter. Gradations of gray in oil that do not only reflect that shadows and forms, but also accentuate each fruit individually with a tone of its own,

There is surrealism and then there is magic realism. Both play with ordinary and the whimsical or unexpected. That is also the path of creative process to connect what seemingly has nothing in common. This is a game, a play on one of my favorite themes or a person and animal interaction.

Most of the work here has representational and renegotiable imagery. This one is an exception. The print has been inspired by a work of another artist that I have lost track of to bring in any visual comparison. It has enough organic forms to feed an imagination.
